About Dutch Filtration
Dutch Filtration is your new partner for all oilfield and process filtration equipment and consumables. Our new innovative filter designs allow you to treat your fluids to the highest HSE standards in an economical and efficient way.
We design and manufacture filtration equipment and filter consumables for the upstream oil and gas market and general industry.
Dutch Filtration is founded by Ruud Wolthuis and his sons Lex and Dirk. Ruud started manufacturing process equipment back in the early 70’s, since then he manufactured hunderds of offshore filter packages, pump systems, separation devices, special couplings, high pressure filter housing etc.
Lex and Dirk joined the company about 10 years ago and expanded the activities. Eric Wals (Bsc. mech.) joined the company as Managing Director in November 2016. Eric started his filtration career with Twin Filter (later acquired in 2012 by Parker Hannifin) in 1998.
Our experienced welders are certified to weld DNV offshore skids and our filter vessels in stainless steel, carbon steel and other exotic materials. Our engineers are working with Inventor 3D drawing software for design packages, stress analysis as well as programming our CNC machines.
All machined parts such as our own Rudi quick opening closure are made on on our CNC cutting, milling and lathes.
We build our knowledge of oilfield filtration solutions in many years of experience. We design, innovate, engineer and manufacture in-house, which results in a flexible organization who listens to their customers.
Eric Wals
Managing Director
Eric holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering (1996) and started his filtration career as project engineer at Twin Filter in 1998. Twin Filter was one of the leading filtration companies in oil and gas filtration.
Between 2002 and 2012 he managed the oil and gas division of Twin Filter globally. In 2012 Twin Filter was acquired by Parker Hannifin. They appointed Eric Wals as Business Unit Manager for the Industrial Process and Oil & Gas division.
Dirk Wolthuis
Director
After finishing his professional education machining, Dirk started to work at Machinefabriek Wolthuis as mechanical machine operator. He was responsible for the automation of the machinery department. To extend his knowledge he finished the course 3D inventor.
After a few years, he was responsible for the project management of many big projects of Wolthuis. He managed several projects building filter equipment for Twin Filter.
Lex Wolthuis
Supply Chain & Manufacturing Director
When Lex finished his Engineering Education he immediately started his career as welder and construction fitter at Machinefabriek Wolthuis. In 2004 he started at the purchase department. After a while he got involved in the sales department doing acquisition and sales to grow the business further. He was also responsible for the quality management. To extend his knowledge he finished the course 3D Inventor.
Lex gained his filter experience during his career building equipment for Twin Filter.
Ruud Wolthuis
R&D Director
After finishing his education toolmaker and entrepeneurial training, Ruud started his own metal construction company in 1961. He started to build equipment for a water treatment company.
In 1995 his company build his first offshore filter skid for Twin Filter. Furthermore he designed and manufactured the first Filter Press for this company. The knowledge he gained building all the equipment over the last 45 years, is now used for Dutch Filtration.
